Supply Planning:

- Develop and implement supply plans to ensure the availability of materials and components needed for production or operations.
- Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels to determine optimal replenishment quantities and timelines.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and procurement teams to align supply plans with customer requirements and production capacities.
- Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and lead times to anticipate potential supply issues and implement proactive measures.
- Material Requirement Planning (MRP):

- Utilize MRP systems or software to generate accurate material requirements based on production schedules, lead times, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to initiate purchase orders, track order status, and expedite deliveries to meet production timelines.
- Regularly review and update MRP parameters such as safety stock levels, order quantities, and lead times to optimize inventory management.
- Inventory Management:

- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to balance costs and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Conduct regular inventory analysis, including stock counts, cycle counts, and aging analysis, to identify and address stock discrepancies or obsolescence risks.
- Implement inventory control measures such as FIFO (First In, First Out) and ABC (Activity-Based Costing) analysis to optimize inventory turnover and minimize holding costs.
- Supplier Relationship Management:

- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of materials, components, and supplies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor supplier performance and compliance.
- Identify potential alternative suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and make recommendations for supplier selection or diversification.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the supply chain and material planning functions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement initiatives such as lean manufacturing, cost reduction, or lead time reduction projects.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain and material planning, identify trends, and propose corrective actions to achieve performance targets.
- Reporting and Documentation:

- Generate and maintain accurate reports related to supply planning, material requirements, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and guidelines for the supply and material planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and quality standards in all aspects of supply chain and material planning.

**; Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field. Additional certifications or qualifications in supply chain management are advantageous.
- Experienced in supply chain planning, material planning, procurement, or a similar role within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and material requirement planning (MRP) systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and demand forecasting techniques.
- Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, MRP software, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
