As a veterinary professional, you already have a pretty good idea as to the day-to-day requirements of being a Veterinary Assistant. Here are some of the key skills that we are seeking that are particularly relevant to this opportunity:

- **Responsibilities**:

- Answer and triage phone calls from clients.
- Check-in clients according to appointment
- Monitor client flow from check-in to discharge
- Manage client's ward visits
- Provide clear and accurate dosing instruction to clients on medicines prescribed by Veterinarians.
- Manage medicine refill requested by client, always refer to Veterinarian for permission to refill.
- Coordinate with veterinary nurse for clinic's order on a weekly basis, keep record and follow-up on pending items.
- Purchase clinic and ward consumables, ordering uniforms and domestic items
- Manage and properly store in-patient property for easy retrieval
- Coordinate clinic's waste and sharp disposal with veterinary nurse, and ensuring practice compliance with waste and sharp items disposal regulations
- Arrange the entire schedule of appointments (outpatient, inpatient, surgical, pet transportation) for each day.
- Manage and prepare invoices, update the cash register and get ready the important assignments for the next day.
- Manage the Medical Suite system
- Work patiently with distressed, frustrated or disgruntled clients.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Animal Health and Production or Certificate in Veterinary Nursing
- STPM holders may be considered
- Experience working with animal is beneficial
- Effective communication skills
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and documents
- Good communication skills
- Love, patience and compassion for animals
- Ability to handle and interact with animals
- Organizational skills
- Manual dexterity

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
