Boiler Attendant

**Boilerman and Facility Job Description**

1 unit 5 tonne and 1 unit 10 tonne fire tube boiler.

working 6 days week. ( Sunday off )
- Prepare chemicals for boiler, cooling towers, Monitoring Nitrogen consumption, potable tank level, air compressors and take utility readings.
- Ensure steam boiler operation in safe condition and strictly compliance with Factory and Machinery Act 1967, OSHA 94, and also Boiler Enactment Act 1892.
- To schedule and implement periodic preventive maintenance so as to reduce unexpected Boiler downtime
- To have proper Boiler Chemicals Inventory Control System. Ensure sufficient quantity of chemical available for the operation of the Boiler
- To ensure a safe, comfortable and clean working area periodic maintenance of the areas in surroundings the Boiler House.
- Monitor the reserve water tank and ensure the water is sufficient in the event if water disruption occurs.
- Monitor the steam thread and steam piping and ensure the steam flows out safely.
- Ensure all breakdown and downtime are recorded
- Attend and follow up with JKKP/DOSH on boiler inspection.
- Ensure to update the daily communication or log book on daily task and activities performed
- Assisting with facilities, premises and production steam supplies needs.
- Assisting the Safety and Facilities Officer on his daily task
- Supervise the cleaners and foreign workers issue (hostel, overtime etc)
- Involve in Emergency Response Team and Safety and Health Activities.
- Execute any other responsibility assigned by superior from time to time.
- Any misconduct from Boiler Regulations will be taken seriously such as drunk, sleeping, leaving boiler plant without informing anyone and fail to operate boiler in safe condition.

**Salary**: RM1,800.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
