Our client is a reputable supplier of high-quality tyre products and a reliable service provider for all types of motor vehicles since their establishment, 50 years ago.
Key Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Operation Manager is responsible for the successful operation of one distribution center’s shipping, receiving and delivery. This position provides leadership to ensure that the assigned location meets all operating objectives and financial goals and follows company policies and procedures.
The Warehouse Operation Manager has leadership responsibility for the assigned wholesale location, including oversight of all shipping, receiving and delivery operations. This position operates under the general direction of the Distribution Center Manager.
- Ensure all picked tyres and related items are brought to the correct location for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Ensure all inbound stock is correctly stored in the relevant warehouse location.
- Ensures all inventory transactions are completed within the timeline and maintain stock accuracy.
- Ensure the assigned location is effectively staffed by recruiting and hiring warehouse teammates and minimizing turnover.
- Train, develop and lead the warehouse team on operations, customer service, product knowledge and service delivery techniques.
- Determines product handling and storage requirements to develop warehouse operations systems.
- Develops, implements, evaluates and enforces warehouse policies and procedures.
- Develops processes for receiving product, utilizing equipment, managing inventory and shipping products.
- Develops and implements effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment and product handling systems.
- Manage and plan on the product delivery and logistics (route and drivers management).
- Liaise with transportation companies to create a good working relationship to be able to strike good negotiations for transportation of goods, and to prevent hiccups that may arise
- Manage the warehouse budget to exceed objectives and maximize profit potential; develop and implement strategies to address shortcomings,
- Ensure teammates are being provided training on properly operating, utilizing and maintaining all equipment in a safe manner in accordance with Company and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure teammates strictly adhere to company policies and procedures, all safety and environmental codes and industry regulations, including consistent use of required personal
protective devices.
- Responsible for inventory management to include monitoring inventory levels to manage expenses, minimize loss and maximize revenue in accordance with Company’s established
standards and policies.
- Review delivery areas and routes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Other:

- Attend local meetings as required.
- Undertake all other reasonably requested duties and future training within the remit of your
role.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 5 years warehouse management/supply chain/logistic experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Clean driving licence
- GDL / E License
- Knowledge of tyres
- Knowledge of stock storage systems
- Knowledge of workshop management would be a great advantage.
- Knowledge of tyre brands, sizes and specifications
- Knowledge of Tyre stock control or sales software or similar
- Experience in a wholesale or distribution environment (tyre or automotive industry experience preferred
- Experience of working with computers
- Experience of working to a required standard within a warehouse environment
- Experience of manual handling and lifting
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Experience of delivering a high level of customer service
- Experience of working well in a team
- Experience of delivery driving
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Strong interpersonal skills
