Subject Matter Expert

**Job Purpose**
- The Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) will need to have a broad understanding of the electrical system and equipment function.
- The SME will be responsible for training and providing advice to the Mechanical Department Engineers and Technicians at the plant and other cross-functional teams on optimizing mechanical processes (mechanical engineering principles, equipment maintenance, and process improvements) within our cement manufacturing facility.

Knowledge Building
- Engage and deepen engineers' understanding of provided training and equipment operation and maintenance concepts through detailed on-the-job programs and practical exercises.
- Coach and mentor maintenance personnel on best practices for equipment operation and maintenance, fostering a growth mindset and continuous learning culture.
- Guide them through best practices in equipment operation and upkeep, fostering a growth mindset.

Collaborate and Optimize
- Partner with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and implement strategies for boosting mechanical process and equipment performance.
- Work alongside the Mechanical HOD to guide the maintenance and repair of machinery.

Proactive Maintenance
- Spot areas for process improvement within the mechanical department, driving cost effectiveness and productivity.
- Analyse mechanical operations with a keen eye, suggesting and implementing enhancements for optimal performance.

Standards and Excellence
- Champion adherence to industry standards and regulations, ensuring safe and compliant operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the mechanical department, driving efficiency and cost savings.
- Share knowledge with the team, ensuring everyone stays updated and equipped for success.
- Develop engineers' decision-making capabilities, enabling them to analyse and evaluate procurement purchases according to the specific needs and specifications of the cement plant.

**Preferred Experience**
- Proven 20 years of experience in a similar role within the cement manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes specific to cement manufacturing.
- Knowledge in Kiln Operation & Maintenance, CBM Technology (Vibration, Lube Oil & Thermography Analyst, Compressor & PMT, Lifting & PMA, and Compressor & PMT.

**Qualifications**
- A Master’s degree is typically the minimum requirement, but advanced degrees can be advantageous.
- Certified Competent Scaffolder

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: RM20,000.00 - RM22,000.00 per month
