**Category Distribution** is one of the 5 categories belonging to Supply Chain Operations, part of Category Area Logistics Services, responsible to secure optimal fulfilment capacity and store replenishment deliveries. We do this through a network of distribution centres, either owned by Inter-IKEA or leased from external service providers.

**Job description**
We are now looking for an **Operations Support Manager** for our **Distribution Center in Port Klang, Malaysia.**

DC Port Klang, with a storage capacity of 192.300 m3, had its first outbound in April 2021. Today it supplies 40 stores located in Malaysia, Australia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan. As the first Inter IKEA owned establishment project, DC Port Klang is ultra-modern and includes many high-tech solutions, such as a fully automated high bay with a connected conveyor system and a new Warehouse Management System. The operations are run by an external service provider, Emirates Supply Chain Services, on behalf of Category Area Logistic Services.

As **Operations Support Manager** you will be responsible to enable delivery of goods within the agreed lead time and quality, at the lowest possible operational costs - with the customer in focus and the total supply chain in mind. You will be main speaking partner to other stakeholders in the Supply Chain related to the operational store delivery process, both order flow & physical flow and at the same time adding value by providing solutions and coordinating unexpected situations with a pragmatic approach.

**Among specific responsibilities of the assignment are**:

- Recruits, develop, set the goals, and evaluate the performance of Operations Support Team (System Superuser and Operations Support Specialists)
- Coordinates follow up on all service level related issues; initiates and drives all necessary actions to improve customer availability
- Supervise, coach, and follow up the activities of the External Service Provider in the unit to fulfil defined objectives and goals for the operations, keeping always in focus the needs of the customer and of the impact on the total supply chain.
- Analyse logistic processes, identify opportunities for improvement and optimize the local working methods (including supporting systems) to reach/keep excellence in running unit operations
- Support/drive the local peak planning process according to local constraints
- Strive for excellence in collaboration with ESP and all relevant stakeholders (e.g., Customs, Supply Operations, Retailers);
- Take part in the contract negotiation with the ESP for all the matters related to operations.
- Responsible to implement and follow Inter IKEA’s Warehousing Concept.
- Be an active member of the Local Market Operations Forum by representing Category Area Logistics Services and updating stakeholders with all relevant information about the situation in the unit.
- Responsible to secure availability and functionality of needed warehouse and order management systems in the unit.

**Qualification** You may be the person we are looking for if**:

- Have relevant education or equivalent working experience in logistics/commercial/supply chain management
- Have been successful in a front-line leadership position in a warehouse unit of a global company with complex supply chain
- You have good communication and negotiations skills and ability to “build” trustful relations with the ESP
- Have experience of leading projects and leading changes including in the areas of warehousing and order management system
- You are eager to solve problems and suggest new solutions together with diverse stakeholders
- You are a global citizen, able to work and lead across cultures. You communicate fluently in English.
