Informatica Administrator

**Role**:

- Supporting Production, UAT and Development of Informatica PowerCenter environments.
- Installation, configuration and version upgrade of Informatica PowerCenter.
- Managing the DEV/UAT/PROD environments with High Availability.
- Setting up the new Informatica environments if required.
- Responsible for setting up access roles and privileges, code page setups, appropriate ETL migration activities.
- Liaise with Systems Administrators, UNIX, Network and DBAs, scheduling and implementing software patches and upgrades.
- Automation of monitoring Informatica environments using UNIX, pmrep, pmcmd and other Informatica command line language.
- Support multiple Informatica environments, production and non-production.
- Support development teams with performance tuning and troubleshooting issues.
- Assist in day to day Informatica components migration tasks.
- Scheduling and Monitoring Informatica repository backups.
- Have sound knowledge of SQL query to get the metadata(Repository) details as and when required.
- Must have Installation and configuration experience on Linux environment(AIX) with Informatica 9.x and above.
- Review of Informatica ETL design documents and working closely with development teams to ensure correct standards are followed.
- Production and non-production Ticket handling and problem ticket analysis and fixing.
- Creating new repositories from scratch, backup and restore.
- On Call Support as required during the week ends and off hours.
- End of Life system verification and upgrades.
- Mentored and monitored development teams with regular calls on the commonly raised issues and propose permanent fixes.

**About You**:

- BS/MS/PhD in IT, or any Degree
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Informatica PowerCentre 9.6 or greater Administration.
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator Administration(At lease basic knowledge)
- Experience with Unix Admin related work ( AIX)
- Experience with Oracle DB as a Repository database.
- Experience with code versioning, code review and documentation.
- Experience with ETL code development and support activities.
- Good concept knowledge in Informatica different version
- Ready to take responsibilities in different kind of Informatica and ODI administration activities.
- Ability to work under pressure and change, and balance among speed, reliability, Interpretability.
- Have exposure to work with Informatica vendor
- Have Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi task and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of processes & development best practices.
