**Responsibilities**:
Cooking Expertise:
- Prepare and cook food in a specific kitchen section.
- Follow recipes and make sure the dishes taste and look great.
Station Management:
- Take charge of your assigned cooking area.
- Work with other kitchen staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Quality Control:
- Make sure the food leaving your station is top-notch.
- Keep things clean and follow safety rules.
Teamwork:
- Work with other chefs and help train new kitchen staff.
- Share ideas and work together for a successful kitchen.
Inventory and Time Management:
- Help manage ingredient supplies.
- Work efficiently to get food out on time.
Creativity:
- Suggest new ideas for the menu or special events.
- Stay updated on cooking trends.
Following Rules:
- Stick to kitchen and safety rules.
- Keep your workspace organized and clean.
**Requirements**:
- Culinary school is a plus, but experience in a kitchen is essential.
- Several years of experience, especially in a similar role or as a commis chef.
- Good at cooking and specialized in a specific area (like grilling or making sauces).
- Knows different cooking techniques and how to combine flavors. Understands the menu and can prepare dishes according to the recipes.
