Job Responsibilities
Working as part of the Assistance and Claims Team, to ensure all assistance and claims files are dealt with on a daily basis to the required standard within agreed time frames.Manage a portfolio of Travel Insurance claims and assistance matters from lodgement to finalisation. Reviewing clients situation individually and asses cases in order to ensure the right level of coverage of insurance is provided.Ensure an efficient assessment of various reports.Process the payment of approved claims.Liaise with different insurance companies and medical professionals.To record and update customer information accurately and comprehensively and input the data into the companys claims system. Keeping up-to-date with changes in the industry.Where appropriate, negotiate claims settlements in a cost-effective manner, which is fair and reasonable to customers. To be able to identify fraud, define action plan and take the appropriate action. Review cases, define potential actions of recovery assessing level of success, define action plan and take the appropriate action.To meet performance indicators, as agreed during formal assessment reviews.To communicate clearly, accurately and effectively with internal and external customers.To deal with the telephone
calls in a customer-focused way, ensuring that service levels and standards are maintained.To adhere to the Company's procedure in accordance with the specific guidelines.To be compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998.To ensure that you conduct your role in accordance with Anti-Fraud Campaign Policy (to act honestly and with integrity) and to report any suspected incidents of fraud and corruption.To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection, Code of Conduct, Security, IT and Internal Control Financial Regulations.To undertake any other duty or responsibility that may reasonably be allocated by your Manager.
