As an MEP draftsman, you will work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. You will use CAD software and follow industry standards to create drawings that guide the installation and maintenance of these systems.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Minimum required Experience & Skills:
To monitor the ongoing design activities especially shop drawings and detailed drawings as per requirements of consultant and client. Must be experienced in MEP design and detail drawings.
- Supervises the preparation of technical drawings based on rough sketches, specifications, and calculations from engineers, surveyors’ architects, and MEP engineers.
- To critically review the relevant documents prior to the start of construction e.g.

IFC, Project Specification, etc
- Checks and corrects work prepared by others in order to conform to standards, specifications, and design requirements.
- Prepare finished drawings for construction work from sketches, specifications, and field notes.
- Prepares MEP calculations for HVAC drawings, plumbing, piping, and small substation and electrical works.
- Design change requirements, including but not limited to piping, plumbing, and firefighting design.
- Identify any deviation in the design and provide justification for the deviation.
- Experience in MEP design detailing.
- Report to design manager as well as the MEP manager for smooth coordination of design work
- be able to prepare quick, simple, and accurate hand calculations to check the design of others.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Design

Engineering
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto Cad is required. Knowledge of popular design software is desirable (Such as SAP)
- 6 years of chief draftsman as lead experience, design, and shop drawings experience. Middle East experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results.
