**Title : R& D Manager /Asst Mgr**

Job description:
Develop and maintain relevant product development technical expertise for self and other team members by analysing trends/competitive landscape to initiate and complete creation of new biscuit.

Responsible for recommending, planning and managing the improvement of existing products and processes

Compose product specifications and performance specifications to hit development goals

Lead R&D Innovation Team product development

Responsible for creating joint development collaboration programs with key ingredient and other suppliers to identify and drive new technology innovation.

Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects for top and bottom line growth. Indirectly manage internal and external resources to advance projects in a systematic, timely and technically rigorous fashion.

Create and document approaches for, and results of, experimental and commercial trials.

Improve the effectiveness of R&D through continuous improvements such as improving sensory evaluation

Competent in the full length of the product development cycle, which includes conceptual development, formulation, implementation, process validation and continuous management and improvement.

Reviews work output of direct reports, approves for next phase of process and mentors and develops staff skills.

Factors include product attributes as well as development costs, finished product costs, and timing.

Reviews product formulations/process characteristics across products and plants and identify opportunities to simplify the system and/or capitalize on cost savings opportunities.

**Requirements**:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Food Technologies / Science or equivalent.

5 years of total experience in product development, with experience related to the food industry

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
