Health & Safety Officer

**Responsibilities**
- Implement and enforce the Company’s HSE policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient HSE management and promote development of a healthy, safe and environment friendly work culture
- Ensure compliance to OSHA, EQA, fire services and all other applicable laws, regulation and legal obligations
- Prepare and establish safety manual for site operations
- Conduct and promote HSE awareness, knowledge and information to all parties engaged at the site through toolbox meetinIgs, trainings, briefings and any appropriate communication media and/or engagement activities
- Responsible for carrying out regular and ad hoc safety inspections and audits of office premises, workshops, laboratory, worksites, warehouse / stores and other facilities to detect existing and/or potential hazards or risks and to establish and implement corrective and preventive procedures
- To conduct investigations of all accidents including near misses, relating to safety, health and environment. To identify possible causes and to provide and implement countermeasures as well as preventive measures
- To maintain and update a comprehensive database of accidents, statistics and root cause analysis. To analyse the statistical data and prepare and provide monthly / quarterly / annual reports for management information, future planning and decision making
- To establish and maintain harmonious rapport and liaison with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, local authorities and other related Government agencies
- Ensure permit to work are in place before any work of significant risks are carried out;
- To ensure all the related safety SOP and Company policies are strictly adhered to
- To work closely with other professionals engaged / working in the entire mining operations for an effective smooth execution of daily activities at site

**Requirements**:

- Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent
- At least 3 -7 Years of related working experience
- Good knowledge of safety in construction or quarry industries;
- Registered Safety & Health Officer with valid certification from DOSH - Green Book
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skill. Knowledgeable in Malaysian OSH Management System, standards and specifications.

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (required)
