**Job Description**:

- Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and menus
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard
- Oversee the work of junior kitchen staff
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development
- Monitor portion sizes and waste levels
- Assist in training and development of junior kitchen staff
- Monitor food costs and portion control
- Maintain records of food costs and inventory
- Participate in menu planning and costing
- Control costs whilst ensuring quality and service standards are not compromised.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure that all food is stored and handled properly

Requirement:

- Applicant must possess at least a Higher Secondary/STPM/”A” Level/ Pre-U or Professional Certificate in Hospitality/Tourism/Culinary Management or equivalent.
- Culinary school education is a plus
- Experience in Asian Cuisine is required
- Experience in stock and food ordering is a plus
- Preferred 1 years experience in a kitchen setting
- **Location: Japamala Resorts, Pulau Tioman**

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
