- Job Purpose
_Management of subcontracts for services in the Subsea Construction Business. The typical subcontracted services include:_
- _Chartering of construction vessels, transportation vessels & support vessels_
- _Fabrication of structures and rigid spools_
- _Offshore Survey and Pre-commissioning _
- _Rental of equipment for construction vessels_
- _Miscellaneous services offshore, including provision of personnel and logistics_
- _Depending on project organization the scope of work may also include the supervision of the procurement team to provide a consolidated view and be accountable of all the 3rd party commitments to the Project Manager_
- Job Description
_Create, monitor and manage the procurement and subcontracting plan to ensure that key dates within the master project schedule is achieved_
- _Lead small team members including assistance with the negotiation of commercial terms and conditions and evaluations of tenders and settlement of claims _
- _Maintain project reporting requirements _
- _Maintain awareness of and compliance with the Management system procedures _
- _Package Award: _
- _Preparation of Invitation to Tender packages in conjunction with project engineers including QHSE documentation_
- _Allocation and negtiation of standard terms and conditions of subcontract, _
- _Selection of bidders within the approved vendors list in coordination with the category management_
- _Commercial evaluation & negotiation with tenderers and preparation for Award _
- _Package Administration: _
- _Kick off meetings and defining suitable administrative processes _
- _Writing contractual letters _
- _RFQs, instructions, variation requests and variation orders _
- _Evaluation and agreement of subcontractor interim progress claims and invoicing _
- _Assessment, negotiation and agreement of subcontractor variations and claims_
- _Evaluation, negotiation and agreement of Subcontractor final accounts & closeout_
- You are meant for this job if:

_Bachelor Degree or Other relevant education: Engineering, Commerce or Business such as Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor or Supply Chain_
- _A background in project engineering/ construction management or offshore oil and gas industries_
- _A sound understanding of the principles of contracts law and business ethics and the contractual / commercial principles adopted within the industry_
- _Good negotiation, verbal and written communication skills in English_
- _At least 5 years relevant experience as Subcontracts/Contracts Engineer_
- _Experience in vessels chartering_
- _Experience in fabrication for oil and gas products _
- _Basic knowledge of oil and gas standards/ regulation/ procedures is preferred_
- _Understanding of SAP or Oracle_
- _Understanding of schedules including baselines, milestone dates and float _
- _Understanding of cost control, cashflow and forecasting _
