Ensure no Scaffolding work is conducted outside of the restrictions laid out on their Scaffolding Licence;
- Ensure Fall Restraint devices are used at all times when constructing and deconstructing any scaffolding;
- Ensure all working at Heights equipment is inspected before each use and with formal inspection Periods;
- Ensure all Scaffolds are built to the Malaysian or manufacturers standards and have a current Scaff Tag fitted;
- Ensure all Scaffolding equipment is in good working order before, during and after use;
- Ensure compliance at all times to the Alstom Project Safety Management Plan;
- Ensure compliance at all times to Alstom Environmental Management Plan; and - Ensure compliance to Alstom, policies, procedures and minimum standards. - Carry out work in a manner that does not put themself or others at risk or harm or injury;
- Commit to an incident and injury free work site;
- Promote a safe working environment by encouraging fellow employees, contractors and visitors to site to comply with legislation, management safety plan, rules and regulations;
- Ensure visitors are controlled and not permitted access to site without an escort;
- Comply with relevant Malaysian Acts, Regulations and Standards, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes, where applicable - Stop unsafe work practices;
- Comply with formal Safety Instructions given by the company - Participate in the behaviour observation process;
- Ensure safe access and egress to site is maintained;
- Attend pre-start, tool box and safety meetings as required;
- Follow the site safety rules;
- Participate in the Consortium drug and alcohol testing in accordance with site procedures when conducted on site;
- Ensure site barricading and signage is maintained;
- Ensure hazardous materials are stocked and stored to standard;
- Ensure traffic management is suitably maintained;
- Comply with all waste management practises onsite;
- Consider environmental issues and risks when carrying out any task;
- Ensure lights, generators and equipment is switched off when not in use and at the end of each day;
- Clarify with their supervisor matters which may put themselves or others at risk of harm or injury;
- Inspect, rectify and / or report hazards in their specific area of work daily;
- Promptly report hazards, incidents, injuries or near misses no matter how minor;
- Ensure a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is developed, written, approved and signed on to before any scaffold job commences - Ensure the correct Permits have been attained before any scaffold job commences by the contractor - Follow Safe Work Instructions;
- Maintain work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition;
- Operate machines/equipment which they have been trained, ticketed, verified competent (VOC) by an approved assessor and approved to use;
- Formally inspect plant and machinery prior to use (pre-start inspections) and report defects;
- Check / inspect tools, plant and equipment and ensure they are within current formal inspection dates prior to use;
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of plant, machinery, tools and safety equipment is maintained;
- Wear, maintain and store supplied PPE to the correct standards; and - Participate in any and all inductions, training and workshops required by TGH - Prepare Daily and Weekly reports - Attend daily de-brief sessions at the end of each day - Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to contractors on scaffolding requirements as and when required.
