Instrument Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- To understand and competently carry out duties with accordance to ISO9001 and Company’s Quality Policy, Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI) without compromise.
- Assist in upgrading and improvement projects and be the main contact point for stakeholders, field staff and contractors.
- Analyzes current equipment; identifies areas of inefficiency and needs for improvement.
- Preparations of instrumentation engineering deliverables including specifications, instrument datasheets, logic diagram, & etc.
- Collaborates with other engineers to procure efficient equipment and instrumentation in accordance with safety and usability standards and our organisation expectations.
- Creates basic schematics and simulated models to test designs; modifies designs to meet specifications and budget requirements.
- Oversees the implementation of new measuring devices and control systems, ensuring devices are correctly installed and properly tested.
- Drafts technical manuals for instrumentation.
- Provides training related to devices to employees.
- To effectively monitor, keep track and update the inventory data, such as but not limited to production-related chemicals, tools, machineries and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- At least 2 year (s) of working experience in the process industries; oil & gas, chemicals and petrochemical fields.
- Communicate effectively both oral and writing to technical and non-technical persons.
- Able to read and interprets P&ID diagrams, drawings and specifications.
- High commitment on execution, aggressive, dynamic and result oriented.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and work pressure with under tight schedule.
- PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office software packages.
- Able to work independently as well as being a team player with strong commitment to department harmony and strong sense of responsibility.

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,400.00 per month

Schedule:

- On call
