We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Accounting Manager to join our team in Klang. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities related to our logistics operations, **including tax compliance, audits, statutory reporting, and adherence to ISO standards (if applicable).** You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, manage a team of accounting staff (if applicable), and play a key role in improving financial controls and reporting.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Management & Analysis**:

- Manage the full financial cycle for the logistics department, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Analyse logistics costs and identify areas for cost savings and revenue growth opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets) specific to logistics operations.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the financial health of the logistics department.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- **Accounting & Compliance**:

- Manage all accounting activities related to logistics operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB)).
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff.
- **Risk Management & Controls**:

- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with logistics operations.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial controls and procedures.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Continuously review and improve logistics financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement new technologies and automation to streamline financial operations.
- **Tax & Compliance**:

- Manage tax compliance, including calculating and preparing corporate income tax returns, and liaising with tax authorities as needed.
- Calculate and prepare corporate income tax returns for the logistics department.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant tax regulations and ensure timely filing of all tax returns.
- Liaise with tax authorities as needed.
- **Audit Support**:

- Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Prepare working papers to support audit procedures.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
- **Statutory Reporting**:

- Oversee statutory reporting, ensuring timely filing of all required reports with relevant authorities (e.g., Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB))
- **ISO Standard Compliance**:

- Understand and implement relevant ISO standard requirements (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management) as they pertain to the logistics accounting function.
- Maintain documentation to demonstrate compliance with ISO standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics accounting or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing the full accounting cycle.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian Accounting Standards (MASB).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, ASOLUTE).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
