**Job Title: Hematologist**
**Job Summary**:As a Hematologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients with blood-related disorders, including various forms of anemia, clotting disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, and other hematologic conditions. Your role involves patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis**:Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments of patients with hematologic complaints.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests, bone marrow biopsies, and genetic studies.
Accurately diagnose and classify hematologic disorders and diseases.
**Treatment Planning**:Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on diagnoses and medical history.
Prescribe medications, blood products, and hematopoietic growth factors as needed.
Recommend and administer bone marrow transplants when appropriate.
**Patient Care**:Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Provide education to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
**Collaboration**:Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex hematologic cases.
**Research and Continuous Learning**:Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in hematology.
Engage in continuous medical education and professional development activities.
Participate in clinical trials and research projects.
**Record Keeping**:Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
Ensure compliance with documentation standards and legal requirements.
**Quality Assurance**:Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and safety of hematology services.
Adhere to infection control protocols.
**Qualifications**:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent).
- Completion of a residency program in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology.
- Valid medical license and registration.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and work flexible hours.
**Job Type**: Commission
Pay: From RM20,000.00 per month
