Entomologist

Responsibilities: a.Performs and field surveys for the identification, detection and classification of pest insects. b.Analyse and makes appropriate reports and recommendations on damage to insects as well as potential damage to plants and crops. c.Provides important information and pertinent training to staff members and the public on issues such as insect identification and detection as well as pest control procedures with the use of bulletins and public speaking. d. Assists in the exclusions of pest exclusion, regulation of nursery and enforcement of pesticide use. e.Assists in the use of beneficial types of parasites and predators in order to have full biological control of the desire species of pests. f.Maintains all records and prepares test and survey reports. He/she must submit reports to various government groups and agencies. g.Other task assigned by the superior.
