Summary

The Resident Dentist provides comprehensive dental care to patients under the supervision of senior dental staff. This role is designed to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of new dental graduates through practical experience in a supportive and educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

**Clinical Duties**
- Perform routine dental procedures including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.
- Conduct thorough oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients on oral health care and preventive measures.
- Administer anesthesia and perform surgical procedures as required.
- Take and interpret dental X-rays.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

**Patient Care**
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Address patient concerns and questions regarding dental treatments and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and safe clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols.

**Professional Development**
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
- Attend regular meetings and case discussions with senior dental staff.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental practices and technologies.

**Administrative Duties**
- Assist in managing patient appointments and scheduling follow-up visits.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- **Licensure**: Valid state dental license.
- **Experience**: Completion of a dental residency program is preferred but not required.
- **Skills**: Proficient in a range of dental procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform dental procedures for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and steady hands.
- Ability to use dental instruments and operate dental machinery.

Working Conditions
