**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Service**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Answer customer questions and provide information about products or services.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a courteous and professional manner.

2. **Payment Processing**:

- Accurately ring up purchases and calculate totals, including taxes and discounts.
- Accept payments in various forms, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Verify the authenticity of currency and checks, and report any counterfeit or suspicious bills.

3. **Cash Handling**:

- Handle cash transactions with care and accuracy.
- Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift to ensure it balances.
- Maintain proper cash management procedures and follow company policies.

4. **Receipts and Records**:

- Provide customers with receipts for their purchases.
- Keep detailed records of transactions and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift.

5. **Bagging and Packaging**:

- Bag or package items neatly and efficiently.
- Handle fragile or perishable items with care.

6. **Price Checking**:

- Ensure that products are correctly priced, and price discrepancies are reported to the appropriate personnel.

7. **Security and Loss Prevention**:

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus.
