**Job Purpose**

To raise funds from the public in order to support the organisation’s work in cancer prevention, early detection, care and support services. The executive is required to execute, monitor, report and support fundraising activities on all platforms at the state level and work closely with state office management and national management, internal and external stakeholders including donors in achieving these goals.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:
**1. Partnership and Stakeholder Relationships**
- To develop and maintain database of possible donors and donor organisations within the state including MNCs, SMEs, community organisations, educational institutions, high-value donors and others which are relevant for this purpose
- To develop fundraising opportunities within the state working with donors/donor organisations
- To lead fundraising projects realized from the developed fundraising opportunities within the state
- To manage in a persuasive, time-efficient and cost-effective manner, all community and individual fundraising enquiries and ensure maximal realization of these fundraising efforts
- To ensure regular and relevant updates and communication with relationships to ensure continual development of key contacts and regular giving
- To maintain updated records on all funding projects and donors and communications with them
- To support national fundraising projects in close communication and work together with national management as and when required for this

**2. Fundraising Projects**
- To conceptualise and develop fundraising proposals as well as to submit proposals for consideration by relevant possible funders/donors for state level projects.
- To manage internally conceptualised fundraising projects from inception to completion - including planning, paperwork, budget, logistics, implementation, and post-event reporting.
- To support external fundraising projects in the required capacity in the required role post-assessment and discussion with stakeholders managing these projects.
- To harmonize fundraising projects with state-level programmes run by the Society in terms of Educate, Care, and Support whenever possible to maximise potential of fundraising opportunities.

**3. Revenue and Incomes**
- To manage ongoing fundraising projects and income from all streams in the state office
- To ensure all reporting of all income coming in from all streams in the state office in a regular manner monthly/quarterly/annually to finance and to reconcile documentation pertaining to this.
- To ensure documentation of donors’ donations/income and all documents pertaining to receipts and tax-exempt receipts are provided to the relevant donors/organisations

**4. Office Management**
- To perform general office and administrative duties in the state office (and at the national level) as required
- To support events and programmes organized by the state office (and at the national level) as required
- To participate and carry out other duties as may be required by the management for achieving the vision, mission and objectives of the Society.

**Requirement**:

- Possess minimum of bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a fundraising. Previous experience working in a non-profit organization is an added advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully raising funds from diverse sources, including individual donors, corporations, or foundations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.
- Excellent writing skills, with experience in proposal writing and development, and donor communications.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented approach to fundraising.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in both Malay and English languages; fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
