**Purpose of the Position**:
Responsible for maintaining the mechanical, electrical, electronics, civil and structural aspects of the building and equipment of the Hotel. Assist in the day to day administration of the Engineering Department and operations matters relating to Engineering.

**Job Duties**:
1. Assist safety and fire committee activities as may be required.

2. Attend meetings in the absence of the Chief Engineer.

3. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all mechanical equipment and system; all audio and video equipment and systems, civil and structural aspects and furnishings therein to the required standards.

4. Monitoring energy saving programs in the Engineering Department and throughout the Hotel.

5. Assist the Hotel on planning, organising, staffing, directing and controlling for the efficient operation of the department.

6. Work closely with Engineering Secretary in monitoring engineering store stock.

7. Co-ordinate with all other department heads regarding maintenance administration matters.

8. Ensure that the Supervisor and Senior Technician check emergency generator and test run once a week to ensure that it is in a working condition at all times.

9. Ensure that all lifts and boiler are functional.

10. Maintain pool water quality and equipment are in good condition.

11. Invite quotations for projects and jobs beyond the department's capacity and supervise them for proper execution. Quotation must be in the interest of the Hotel.

12. Assigned duties to Maintenance Supervisors, Senior Technicians, Carpenter and General Technicians that has to carry out for Food & Beverage promotions or other activities inside or outside of the Hotel.

13. Provide training to Engineering staff to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge.

14. Ensure a safe working environment for the General Technician and Carpenters whenever

they perform a particular task.

15. Conduct a regular inspection on building, equipment and furnishing to ensure that it is in good working condition at all times.

16. Ensure that there is always technician round the clock.

17. Supervise, allocate and assigned jobs for Supervisor, Senior Technicians and Carpenter from time to time.

18. Whenever possible carry out project work internally rather than engaging outside contractor with a view of cost saving.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Engineering/General Manager from time to time.

**Salary**: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
