Overview

We're looking for an outstanding Python / Django Engineer to work with a backend team in the continued development of a wide range of features and services within the recruitment sphere.

As the team's Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the business and development ends of our software as a service (SaaS).

Responsibilities

Plan and implement key tasks for current and upcoming featuresDesign new APIs or contribute to improve existing APIsReview, merge and deploy code submitted by other team developers.Coordinate with the frontend team and project managers when building APIsBe prepared to quickly and efficiently investigate, debug, and resolve unforeseen backend issues related to the server or databaseTechnical Requirements

Minimum of 2 years building and scaling APIsBachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related fieldAbility to communicate and comprehend high-level spoken

and written concepts in EnglishPython:Hands-on experience with the Python programming languageExperience in writing unit testsDjango:Experience with the Django web framework for Python or other Python Web FrameworksProven track record in building scalable APIsExperience with REST APIs and the Django REST FrameworkExperience in Celery and Redis for background and periodic task managementDatabases:Postgres: Familiarity with relational databases and experience with PostgresElasticSearch: Experience in working with ElasticSearch and other NoSQL databaseFamiliarity with scaling databases is a big plus (e.g. sharding)Github: Experience and fluency using Github within a collaborative work environmentAWS: Experience in working with S3 and other AWS servicesAPM: Experience in using Application Performance Management tools (APM) is a plusFunctional knowledge of the staging - production pipeline workflow (CI/CD)Experience breaking a monolith in microservices is a big plusNon-technical requirements:
