Supervise and coordinate all activities in the Dim Sum kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes. - Monitor the quality and consistency of Dim Sum dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards. - Organize and prioritize tasks for the Dim Sum kitchen team during busy periods. - Ensure that the kitchen team complies with all food safety and hygiene regulations. - Regularly inspect the kitchen and equipment to maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance. - Lead and motivate the Dim Sum kitchen team to achieve high levels of performance and productivity. - Train new kitchen staff and ensure all team members are familiar with proper Dim Sum cooking techniques and presentation. - Work closely with the procurement team to control food costs by optimizing ingredient sourcing and portion control. - Minimize food wastage and maximize cost efficiency without compromising quality. - Collaborate with the Head Chef and management on menu development, offering suggestions for new Dim Sum dishes and improvements to existing recipes. - Conduct regular tasting sessions to ensure Dim Sum dishes consistently meet the desired taste and presentation standards. - Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions. - Monitor Dim Sum ingredient inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels. - Maintain open and effective communication with the Head Chef, other kitchen team members, and restaurant management to address any operational challenges and improvements.
