Buyer, Contracts

Responsibilities
- Search and source potential suppliers and vendors.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
- To register new items/product and new vendors into the purchasing systems as when required.
- To prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
- To Prepare and maintain Supplier Performance data on monthly basis and assist in ISO annual performance review.
- Build and maintain good relationship with suppliers/vendors
- To work closely with all other cross-functional department i.e. production, warehouse, customer services & etc to ensure smooth execution till product delivery
- Coordinate the return of and charges for rejected material according to policies and procedures and follow up with NCR/CAPA reports
- Timely submission of matching PO/INV/DO to accounting for SST declaration and smooth the payment process.
- Maintaining a filling system, in the purchase department and updating appropriate records when required.
- To perform other related tasks as and when may be assigned by the division head from time to time

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal customers
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory control policies and procedures.
- Proficient with Ms. Excel.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and working with ERP/MRP systems (will be an advantage)
- Knowledge and skills to handle import shipments (will be an advantage)
- Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and team-player who can also work independently.
- Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment
- Hardworking and meticulous with positive attitude

**Salary**: RM2,300.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
