Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly competent Buyer based in Kuala Lumpur responsible for managing commercial and sourcing activities within the Global Warehousing Procurement Team.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, your main responsibility will be to input and implement the category sourcing strategy to support the existing team, finding solutions and addressing challenges to meet customers’ and markets’ needs.

**A day in the life of a Buyer - Warehousing**:

- Tendering and negotiating contracts with a broad portfolio of local and international suppliers in line with strategy.
- Verifying appropriate execution of established agreements with preferred suppliers on elements such as payment terms, certifications, and best standards.
- Exchanging with the supply-chain and suppliers to ensure Nestlé needs are properly considered, prioritized, and processed.
- Monitoring market trends impacting the smooth implementation contracts and impacting our TCO (Total cost of ownership).
- Contribute to the category strategy definition, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.
- Ensuring compliance with Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

**What makes you successful**:

- University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance or Logistics.
- 3 to 5 years of experience within Procurement or Logistics (ideally within Warehousing).
- Being available as soon as possible.
- Demonstrated success in delivering competitive advantage to the business through implementation of sourcing strategies for different Logistics categories.
- High learning speed and agility to navigate in ambiguity.
- Demonstrated success in risk management, responsible sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a complex organization.
- A strong interest in the Logistics industry is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential.
