Wwtp Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- **Operation of Treatment Facilities**: Operate and monitor equipment and processes within wastewater treatment facilities, including pumps, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems.
- **Routine Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as equipment lubrication, filter replacement, and calibration of instruments to ensure optimal functioning of treatment systems.
- **Water Sampling and Analysis**: Collect water samples from various stages of the treatment process and conduct chemical and biological analyses to assess water quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- **Troubleshooting and Problem Solving**: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to equipment malfunction, process inefficiencies, or water quality deviations, and implement corrective actions to rectify problems.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing wastewater discharge by adhering to permit requirements, submitting required reports, and implementing necessary process adjustments.
- **Record Keeping and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of operational data, test results, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance documentation. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies as required.
- **Safety and Environmental Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Implement measures to minimize environmental impact and prevent pollution of water resources.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborate with other wastewater treatment plant staff, engineers, and regulatory agencies to coordinate operational activities, resolve issues, and implement improvements.
- **Training and Development**: Stay updated on advancements in wastewater treatment technologies, regulations, and best practices through training programs and professional development opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in wastewater treatment or environmental science preferred.
- Relevant experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in a municipal or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and chemistry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permits related to wastewater discharge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks in outdoor environments and confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Able to work in **Bandar Enstek.**

**Salary**: RM1,800.00 - RM2,885.79 per month
