Landfill Operator

1. Overseeing day-to-day operations of the landfill site, including waste collection, compaction, and disposal activities. 2. Operating heavy machinery and equipment such as bulldozers, compactors, excavators, and landfill compactors to manage waste materials, cover the landfill, and maintain proper site conditions. 3. Inspecting incoming waste materials to ensure compliance with regulations, identifying and segregating hazardous waste, and documenting waste volumes and types for record-keeping purposes. 4. Monitoring landfill activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste containment, groundwater protection, and air quality management. Implementing and maintaining erosion control measures, gas collection systems, and leachate management processes. 5. Enforcing safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. 6. Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning and extend their lifespan. 7. Maintaining accurate records of waste disposal activities, including waste volumes, types, and locations within the landfill. 8. Collaborating with landfill staff, environmental agencies, and other stakeholders to address concerns, coordinate waste management activities, and ensure smooth operations. 9. Responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to landfill operations.
