Job Summary
A weaving supervisor typically oversees the operations of a weaving department within a manufacturing facility, usually in industries like têxtile production.
**1. Managing Personnel**:
- Responsible for leading and directing a team of weaving machine operators and other support staff.
- Scheduling shifts, assigning duties, and providing training and guidance to ensure that team members understand and adhere to safety protocols and production standards.
**2. Monitoring Production**:
- They oversee the weaving process to ensure that production targets are met efficiently and that quality standards are maintained.
**3. Quality Control**:
- Responsible for ensuring that the woven products meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
**4. Inventory Management**:
- Involved in managing inventory levels of raw materials, such as yarns and dyes, to ensure uninterrupted production.
**5. Maintenance and Upkeep**
- Oversee routine maintenance tasks for weaving machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
**6. Reporting and Documentation**:
- Responsible for maintaining accurate production records, including output quantities, machine performance data, and quality control metrics.
**7. Safety Compliance**:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any safety concerns promptly to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
**8. Continuous Improvement**:
- Key role in identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements
**Qualification**
- Diploma or equivalent in têxtile engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in weaving or têxtile manufacturing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proficiency in operating weaving machines and equipment.
- Strong understanding of weaving processes, fabric structures, and quality control standards. Knowledge of different weaving techniques and loom types.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and adhering to safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new developments in the weaving industry.
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Rotational shift
