Indian Cuisine Chef

The Chef we are looking for is required to be well experienced in cooking the Indian Cuisine (South Indian Tamil and Kerala, Basic North, food varieties).
**Responsibilities**:
- Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations including cooking, ingredients preparation, packing, cleaning works, etc.
- Supervise the Indian Cuisine kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all food items.
- Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
- Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions and events.
- Supervises all kitchen areas and staffs to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced.
- Responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports.
- Cultivate an environment of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
- Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly.
- Comply with all health, safety, and operation regulations.
**Job Requirements**:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the food catering industry.
- Well experienced in Indian Cuisine.
- Must be able to work on weekends and on public holidays when needed.
- Familiar with Food Health and Safety Standards.
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
- A professional attitude with strong work ethic and communication skills.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Tamil would be a plus.

Salary Range: RM2,500.00 onwards + OT
