Job Description:
At Tat Lian Confectionery Sdn Bhd, a renowned manufacturer of delectable peanut candy, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and ensuring compliance with Halal regulations. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated QC Executive cum Halal Executive to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes and obtaining Halal approval for our products, guaranteeing that our peanut candies meet the strict Halal criteria. Your expertise in quality control and Halal regulations will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation as a trusted provider of Halal-certified treats.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
Develop and implement robust quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure the consistent delivery of top-quality products.

Conduct thorough inspections and tests at various stages of the production process to uphold our stringent quality standards.

Analyse data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our processes and product quality.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and customer service, to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Monitor and maintain the calibration of testing equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Document and report quality control findings, including non-conformities, and take necessary corrective actions.

Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement preventive measures to minimize quality issues and improve overall performance.

Provide comprehensive training and education to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.

Halal Compliance:
9. Familiarize yourself with Halal regulations and certification requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of the criteria for Halal approval.

Liaise with relevant authorities and certification bodies to obtain Halal certification for our peanut candy products.

Establish and maintain processes to ensure ongoing compliance with Halal requirements, including ingredient sourcing, manufacturing practices, and storage.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to Halal standards and identify areas for improvement.

Train employees on Halal regulations and practices to promote a culture of awareness and compliance.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure their compliance with Halal standards and requirements.

Stay updated on changes in Halal regulations and industry practices, and proactively implement necessary adjustments.

Qualifications and Skills:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as food science, quality management, or a related discipline, reflecting your commitment to excellence.

Possess proven experience in quality control, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Familiarity with Halal regulations, certification processes, and compliance requirements is essential.

Exhibit an analytical mindset, allowing you to interpret and analyse data effectively for decision-making purposes.

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of quality control and Halal compliance.

Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, enabling you to address quality issues and ensure Halal criteria are met.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with certification bodies and authorities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using quality control software and tools is preferred.

Halal certification or relevant training and knowledge in Halal practices will be an advantage.
