Art Teacher

Approx 50% timetable spread over (ideally) 3 days per week
- Fluent speaker of English
- Experience of teaching art to teenagers, ideally in an international school setting
- Knowledge of the of English National Curriculum, IGCSE and A level Art requirements
- Comply with teaching standards and regulations of safeguarding and health and safety
- Plan and prepare a programme of study to meet the needs and interests of the students
- Show students how to properly use and care for materials, tools, and equipment
- Manage the classroom including maintaining good discipline and standards of behaviour.
- Prepare lessons by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
- Assess and report on students’ performance & progress to ensure they are mastering skills on a regular basis *Use art to motivate & stimulate students' abilities *Team spirited, reliable and passionate about working with young people
- Positive interpersonal skills with the ability to execute the vision of the arts team.
- Participate in relevant meetings, training and school events
- Undertake assigned supervision duties and lead an ECA
- Any other duties as assigned by the line manager/ school leadership from time to time
