Research Assistant

A Research Assistant is a key member responsible for providing support in various aspects of the research process to achieve the company R&D goals. This role involves new product development, formulation optimisation, quality assurance and technical support.
- New Product Development: Conduct research to develop innovative base oil formulations that align with market trends and customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products from conceptualization to commercialization through rigorous experiments, sampling and tests.
- Formulation Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing formulations to enhance product performance, durability, and sustainability. Stay abreast of industry advancements and incorporate new materials and technologies into formulations.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of raw materials and finished products.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and customers.
- Project Management: Lead and contribute to research projects, ensuring timelines and milestones are met. Document and communicate research findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Stay informed about industry regulations and implement changes as needed.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to the research project, including ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, and managing schedules. Other Assignments
- To assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life / Health Sciences, Chemical Engineering or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in laboratory test and instruments.
- Proven experience in research and development, preferably in the petrochemical industry.
- Passionate in working in a laboratory environment and willing to learn.
- Willing to work in Banting and 5.5 working days per week.
- Willing to travel to plant, branches and HQ to carry out research and studies.

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
