Account Assistant

Assist in processing all types of accounts payable transactions including invoices, reimbursements, and other payment requests.
- Review and verify invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Prepare and perform check runs, electronic transfers, and payments.
- Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for auditing activities.
- Maintain accurate historical records by filing documents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance department.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information appropriately.
