Draftsman

A. RESPONSIBILITIES - Performs routine design, 3D modelling, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components. - Conducts routine analyses and/or tests pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials, or processes, completes required documentation and may provide recommendations. - Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings. - Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD system (solidworks) - Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team. - Identify and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team. B. Education Qualification - Technical degree in ME or equivalent degree in an engineering discipline - Experience in computer aided design and drafting (CADD) - Ethics, Integrity and Trust. - Ability to work well in a team and on your own - Familiarity with AWS, ASME, ASTM among other standards C. Skills and/or Experience: - Time management skills. - High attention to detail and results. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Ability and willingness to learn. - Mechanical design programs and techniques (3D CAD) - SolidWorks, Office software related proficiencies (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.) - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - Flexible and open minded
