General Ledger Specialist

**Responsibilities**:
- Handling a full set of accounts and assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries. Ensure timely and accurate completion of closing activities to meet reporting deadlines.
- Preparation of financial schedules by performing monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other financial records.
- Provide support during the financial reporting process by compiling data, generating reports, and verifying accuracy.
- Collaborate with auditors and tax agents during internal and external audits/tax enquiries by providing documentation, explanations, and supporting schedules.
- Liaising with various stakeholders to obtain records and ensure accounting transactions are properly supported with original source documentation.
- Collaborating and supporting cross-functional teams’ projects
- Contributing to the development and improvement of financial processes
- Resolve all queries within the agreed timeline.
- Handling internal and external queries in a timely manner, if necessary.
**Requirements**:
- Prior work experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Accounting knowledge is required.
- Possess good analytical and communication skill.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Words.
- Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- High caliber, able to perform task independently, mature, resourceful, and committed to work.
- Proactive, willing to take up challenges and able to work within tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
