**Duty Station: Pekan, Pahang**
**Responsibilities**:
- Involvement in the implementation of a range of existing projects
- Undertaking project activities such as studies, awareness programmes, networking, information exchange, monitoring and evaluation
- Providing input to technical and management reports
- Working with partner agencies at local level (local government, private sector, Civil Society Organisations, indigenous people and local community groups)
- Support community development and empowerment
- Working with partner agencies in Malaysia and overseas
- Working on aspects of field projects in Malaysia and overseas
- Input to development of new projects and activities
- Contribute to other elements of the Peatland Programme as appropriate
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Environmental or Natural Resource Management
- Fluent in English and Malay with good writing skills
- Experienced in computer and basic software skills - e.g. Microsoft office
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience
- Experience in forest, natural resources or peatland assessment and management, and biodiversity or climate change issues
- Experience in communication with multi-stakeholder
- Experience in working with private sector and indigenous and/or local community
- Experience in multidisciplinary teams an advantage
- Experience in awareness and information exchange
- Willingness to work with plantation companies and indigenous/local communities
