**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT**

1. Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical

2. 2 years of working experience in welding

3. Experience in piping, structural fabrication, installation and commissioning for project

4. Experience and good knowledge in piping fabrication and erection works

5. Able to perform SMAW, TIG, types welding - 6G

6. Knowledge and able to perform NDT on welding joints

8. Must have qualification in 6G welding and able to perform welding jobs in various types : TIG, SMAW, Plasma, aluminium Oxy acetylene cutting, gouging, hard facing and PVC, posse

9. Able to work independently with minimum supervision

10. Ability to read blue print / technical drawings

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. To follow and ensure compliance with AHP’s safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines

2. Perform metal fabrication, welding, oxy cutting, burning, pipe fitting and installation work of mill wide and maintenance work of varied nature

3. Performs stainless steel material cutting using plasma

4. Performs welding (6G) position using TIG and SMAW

5. Performs plastic material welding for installation and repair of POLY pipes and tanks

7. Minimize wastage of material and consumables

8. Works to achieve strict deadline / schedule

9. To manage and ensure sufficient material of various materials is available for fabrication works

10. Read and interpret drawings and blueprint to determine the specific welding requirement

11. Keep working area and welding bay clean and tidy and take proper care of all equipment and facilities in the work area

12. Provide attention to details on task given and works to the highest quality of workmanship

13. Shut support and involved in mill wide maintenance support activities as and when required

14. Completes routine paperwork, daily reports, work order, CMMS Maximo and other computer reporting as required

15. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs and inspection activities on workshop equipment such as welding machine, plasma cutter, speed cutter, grinding machine, cutting torch and their associated system

16. To participate in the rotating standby and callback rooster and ensure respond in timely manner and as per established guideline

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Night shift
