Insurance Broker

Our client is a group of independent companies, cooperating together to provide its clients with a comprehensive range of services in the field of insurance and reinsurance broking, captive insurance as well as risk management consulting is looking for an insurance broker, based in Mont Kiara, KL.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF A BROKER

The functions and responsibilities of a Broker includes but not limited to the following:
i) Client Management:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Clients, understanding their specific re/insurance needs.
- Assess and analyze Clients’ projects, offered for reinsurance placement, and recommend appropriate reinsurance solutions.

ii) Policy Placement:

- Negotiate appropriate terms and conditions of re/insurance placement with re/insurance companies on behalf of Clients.
- Develop and submit comprehensive re/insurance proposals and project presentations to underwriters.
- Prepare renewal strategies, re/insurance proposals, verify accuracy of re/insurance documentation.

iii) Risk Assessment:

- Conduct risk assessments and analysis, based on the information provided by Clients, to determine the adequacy of coverage.
- Recommend various structures of reinsurance placement, necessary adjustment of terms and conditions, etc to Clients.

iv) Documentation and Compliance:

- Prepare and review re/insurance documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Clients’, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions with Clients and contract details.

v) Claims Assistance:

- Assist/Support the Claims department of the Company in the claims process, if necessary, liaising with Clients and re/insurance companies to expedite claim settlements.
- Advocate for Clients' interests during the claims resolution process.

vi) Market Research:

- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks.
- Identify potential insurance and reinsurance markets and products that align with the Company’s strategy and potential Clients’ requirements.

vii) Client Education:

- Educate Clients on insurance and reinsurance matters, helping them make informed decisions.
- Provide guidance on risk management and loss prevention.

viii) Business Development:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential Clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to expand the Client base.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Degree Holder in the relevant line of industry but preferably in insurance/reinsurance.
- Minimum 1 year experience.
- Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft product.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good team player and able to clearly communicate ideas within the group.

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
