Machinist Specialist

Job Description 1. Prepare CNC programs and select suitable cutting tolls for the milling, turning, grinding of new product. 2. Conduct test runs and adjust programs as required to ensure efficient machining operations. 3. Maintain and modify CNC Programs currently in Production to achieve technical and quality requirements. 4. Working from blueprint, customer specifications and related instruction, plan, design and install CNC programs to support production operations. 5. Draw sketches using computer Aided Design (CAD) program. 6. Select proper tolling for efficient machining of parts. 7. Conduct test runs and adjust program as required to ensure efficient operations. 8. Maintain and modify programs currently in production to adapt to new products and customer requirement or to eliminate problems, accomplish needed charges, or increase operational efficiency. 9. Maintain records to ISO Standards. 10. Resolve machining problems within limited time constraints. 11. Test modified programs to ensure effective machining. 12. Maintain a working knowledge of programming languages, systems analysis and designed and databased designs. 13. Detect faulty operations and materials report these s along with other problems to immediate supervisor. 14. Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. 15. Wear necessary protective equipment as required. 16. Assist in special projects providing technical support to the engineering department as required.
