Manager, Gcfim

**Job Purpose**:
Responsible to assist the Head with the Group's M&A, corporate transactions and restructuring activities, as well as overseeing the Group’s portfolio of investments. GCFIM also works with other divisions within the Group on the Group’s capital raising and investment / divestment activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support in overseeing a portfolio of investee companies, including initiatives to optimise value
- Assist in evaluating and pursuing M&A opportunities in line with the Group’s strategic objectives and aspirations
- Provide support on all deal aspects on M&A and other corporate transactions including structuring, valuation and execution
- Manages delivery on timelines and milestones on transactions
- Works with and manages relationship with other internal divisions/departments and external parties including bankers, legal advisors, reporting accountants, tax advisors and regulators on transactions
- Ensures responsible communication with stakeholders on transactions
- Ensures transactions undertaken comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. BNM, Bursa Malaysia, MAS, OJK) as well as internal requirements e.g. CIMB Group’s Policies & Procedures and the Department’s Policies and Procedures Any other responsibilities / tasks as assigned by management from time to time

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics)
- 7 years of experience of relevant banking background in established bank/financial institution in corporate finance or investment management roles
- Knowledge of corporate finance and investment management
- Strong set of strategic and problem solving skill
- Solid base of problem solving and financial analysis capability
- Strong presentation and influencing skills, required in guiding and assisting teams in putting forward proposals
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially in managing differing viewpoints and objectives of internal stakeholders
- Strong work ethic and culture of excellent service
