**Reporting to: Operation Manager**
- Supervisory Control: Production Operations (incl. Production, Cutting & Compounding, Molding, VMI, Store & Logistic, Planning)

**Job Objectives/Job Summary**:

- As a Production Manager, he takes the overall responsibility and accountability for the manufacturing function which includes oversight and management of the entire operations in Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse & Inventory Management functions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct and control the staff of the department to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Oversee all operating processes to ensure that the most efficient and effective use is made of plant and equipment and that safety standards are adhered to.
- Monitor output to ensure that production meets the established standards in terms of both quantity and quality.
- To work across the production cycle to ensure the flow of work meets customers deadlines.
- Plan, lead and supervise process activities of manufacturing operations of rubber products.
- Implementing Improvement in production and Reduction in wastage.
- Ensure delivery of products as per customers requirement with standard specification.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions on customer complaints, quality problems and any other issues.
- Continual improvement in process for ease of operations.
- Co-ordinating with Sales & Planner for orders and dispatches.
- Analysis of various trends of productivity, quality, performance and to take corrective actions on the same.
- Ensure smooth functioning of outsourcing activities and their expectations from the management.
- Maintain regular contact with other departments to ensure that they are aware of production requirements and to identify potential problems.
- Provide advice and support to other departments on production issues.
- Plan, introduce and monitor maintenance and work schedule to ensure that machines downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Maintain an awareness of new developments in production processes and propose modifications to plant and equipment so that the Company makes the best use of technological developments in its sector.

**Job Requirements**:
**a) Qualifications**
- Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering /manufacturing discipline.

**b) Experience**
- At least 5 - 8 years of proven experience as an Production Manager or similar executive role
- Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function (including production, maintenance, QA and EHS functions) with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and systems.
- Experience of operation and people management at a strategic level.
- Experience and knowledge with polymer technology, in rubber/plastic, preferred.
- Experience in ISO9001 & 14000 preferred

**c) Skills & Knowledge**
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, required for English and Bahasa.
- Strong ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.

**d) Personal Qualities**

**Salary**: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
