**Job Summary**:
An Income Audit Officer/Executive at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur Hotel, plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions related to the hotel's income. This position involves a combination of financial analysis, accounting, and attention to detail.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Revenue Verification**:
- Verify and audit daily revenue and financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Cross-check revenue records against various sources, such as the front office, food and beverage outlets, and other revenue-generating departments.
**Daily Reports**:
- Generate daily income reports summarizing revenues, discrepancies, and any irregularities.
- Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports to relevant departments and management.
**Account Reconciliation**:
- Reconcile revenue accounts to ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances in the financial records.
**Cash Handling**:
- Monitor and audit cash handling procedures, including cash deposits, change funds, and cashier transactions. Ensure compliance with internal control procedures related to cash handling.
**Credit Card Transactions**:
- Verify and reconcile credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in credit card settlements.
**Financial Analysis**:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on the analysis of financial data.
**Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and implement any necessary adjustments.
**Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as the front office, accounting, and food and beverage, to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
**Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions.
- Prepare documentation for audits and reviews.
**Training**:
- Train and educate hotel staff on proper revenue and cash handling procedures.
- Implement training programs to enhance the financial awareness of other departments.
- The role of a Hotel Income Audit Officer is critical in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the hotel's operations. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of financial processes are essential for success in this position. Additionally, knowledge of hotel management systems and accounting software is often required.

- **Pointer 3.50 and above (First Class)**:
