Electrical Panel Builder

As a control panel builder/electrician, your responsibilities include **the assembly of electrical components into a control panel for machines**. You are responsible for the assembly of complex wiring layouts on electric units, the setup of testing systems, and the preparation of panels for shipment.

**Specific Tasks and Duties**
- Plan the work yourself based on the build planner and what panels are needed on what day and what machine electrical wiring is needed to be done when
- Check all electrical parts lists to ensure you have received the required parts for your jobs.
- Prepare stock return documents for any parts you need to return after you have completed your job.
- Panel builds 24V only - assembly of electrical components into a control panel for Crushing and screening machines using electrical drawings. You are responsible for preparing the electrical panel with inner components and the wiring harness that goes onto the machine. You will terminate the wiring harness into the panel you have built and then mount the panel onto the machine and wire out to the necessary components on the machine and terminate to the components to activate the electric functions.
- You will download the software into the panel and conduct all necessary setup and testing of systems.
- Work with CATERPILLAR to commission engine and electrical panel to ensure communication between the panel and engine
- Accuracy of all BOM for electrics on all machines - checking all BOM and ensuring they are accurate and reporting inaccuracy to Manufacturing Executive Manager.
- Maintain accurate electrical drawings and wiring lists for all models of machines on the server in a clear and managed way. Send updates of electrical drawings to Engineering if any changes are made.
- Preparing new BOM for any new electrical jobs that are started. Reviewing new electrical drawings and preparing new BOM to issue to Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Executive Manager
- Maintain records on electrical jobs/panels and ensure the records are kept on the server
- Point to point checking of all electrical panels to ensure the wiring is accurate.
- Full machine checks of wiring to ensure there is no rubbing or interference on the machine wiring and that everything is secure and neat.
- Preparation of electrical start-up instructions to go inside each panel and electrical drawings for each pane.
- Toolboxes components for electrical and ensuring all batteries and remote-control components are accounted for.
- Electrical commissioning documents and accuracy of documents
- Assist in coordinating job assignments with Manufacturing Executive Manager
- Advise Management of technical problems concerned with installation, modification, and repair of electrical assignments.
- Troubles shoot all electrical problems on machines
- Determine procedures for maintenance, installation, modification, and repair of electrical assignments.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and electrical assignments.
- Perform all job functions in line with individual tasks
- Perform other production-related jobs when electrical work is not available.
- Maintain all electrical tooling lists and documents related.
- Housekeeping in line with the 6S system.
- Follow work instructions of Manufacturing Executive Manager
- Conduct some electrical maintenance in the factory and on factory tooling as required
- Primarily use hand tools like screwdrivers, wire strippers, hand drills, and drill saws to make holes in panels and crimpers.
