This **Corporal** is responsible for the smooth operations involving the safety and security of learners, employees, visitors and property of Nexus International School under the supervision of a Sergeant.

**B. KEY RESULT AREA/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- A Corporal rank (TEG) is under the supervision and liability of the Sergeant.
- A Corporal is required to observe and assist the Sergeant in all affairs/delegation of control for safety & security on site/work such as:
a) Calling Name (Rollcall)

b) Morning Shift - 0645 Hours.

c) Night Shift - 1845 Hours.
- To assist in preparing the daily / monthly schedule and confirmed by the Sergeant and FM Manager.
- To assist by performing inspection during the rollcall and brief team members during the changeover of shifts.
- Patrol/Determine Security patrols carried out according to the directions of the location.
- Assist in “Clocking System” Security Controls are implemented accordingly to the location instructed.
- Replace team member (Security Officer) at their post/site during rotation breaks/lunch or under the direction of Sergeant and Management.
- To carry out other related assignments as directed by the Security Sergeant or the Management.
- All incidents/Reports/Important things/emergency information relating to Security should be immediately reported to Sergeant / FM Manager on duty at the site for further action.
- The Corporal on duty shall make any remarks and ensure the entry is in the write in “Daily Report Book/Log Book” on all orders delivered by Sergeant/authority to him as well as the implementation of the tasks carried out.
- The Corporal and Sergeant on duty is required to hold a good relationship/discuss/collaborate and coordinate together to create a “friendly/good” work area location. He is responsible between among team members of the under its custody and to carry out tasks according to the rules/instructions/procedures as set by the Administration-TEG and School.
- Appointed corporal, directed or which carry out the work as “Head of Shift/Shift Leader”.
- The Corporal on duty directed as a “Head of Shift/Shift Leader” are allowed to issue “Charge Form (Form of Discipline)” on Security personnel if they are found doing any disciplinary offence/behaviour in viewpoint on the work ethic at their current site.
- Always should use courteous words, be polite and have a helping hand attitude, not once allowed to use words that are foul or act which could offend someone. (Angry, ashamed, grieving, provoking).
- Required to run all duties with full enthusiasm, sincere, honest, responsible and trustworthy, as well as conduct and obey all the rules/instructions/procedures issued by the School’s Administration.
- Always need to be cheerful, marvellous, a helping hand attitude and strict in his work/decision making and as well as in taking action.
- The Corporal must have a positive attitude, committed, caliber, dedicated and always helping Sergeant/supervisor in day-to-day security control/observing Security Officers executing their daily tasks such as patrolling / clocking / checking on access cards / identification register form / issuing contractor and visitors passes / assist in vehicle inspection / security control at all in-out gates of the school.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures restraining trespassers.
- Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras in good condition at all time.
- Respond to alarm / emergency situations to provide necessary assistance.
- Provide excellent customer service.

**Others**
- Health and safety.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned by FM Manager or school’s management from time to time.
- Attend to any ad-hoc tasks required by the superior from time to time.

**C. JOB SPECIFICATION**

**MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION**
- Certificate in any related field.

**RELATED EXPERIENCE**
- At least 5 year experience in Security Control work.

**COMPETENCIES**
- Knowledge of general security function, operations and procedure
- Knowledge in fire inspection procedures
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft office)
- Excellent sense of judgement, urgency, responsibilities
- Able to carry out Security related job.
- Able to read and write, converse in basic English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Team player.
- Able to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Able to work in shift.

**Salary**: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
