Scuba Diving Instructor

As a Scuba Diving Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching scuba diving courses and leading diving excursions in both pool and sea settings. This position requires strong instructional skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our students and customers.
- Teach scuba diving courses according to recognized training agency standards, including introductory courses, certification courses, and specialty courses.
- Conduct classroom sessions, pool training sessions, and open water dives to ensure students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to become competent divers.
- Prioritize safety at all times and adhere to established diving safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct thorough equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure dive gear is in safe and working condition.
- Monitor environmental conditions and assess dive site suitability for student skill levels and experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students and customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
- Offer guidance, support, and encouragement to students throughout their diving journey, fostering confidence and competence in their diving abilities.
- Work collaboratively with other instructors, dive masters, and support staff to deliver seamless and coordinated diving experiences.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistent instruction and alignment with company standards and procedures.
- Educate students and customers about marine conservation principles and practices, promoting responsible diving behaviors and environmental stewardship.
- Lead by example in minimizing environmental impact during dives and advocating for the protection of marine ecosystems.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices by participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain scuba diving instructor certifications and pursue additional training and certifications as needed.

Qualifications:

- Certified scuba diving instructor with a recognized training agency (e.g., PADI, SSI, NAUI).
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Provider certifications.
- Demonstrated experience teaching scuba diving courses in both pool and open water settings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
