Rov Technician

**he Role**:
**Job Description**:
The ROV Technician supervises the technical installation and operation of Remotely Operate Vehicle (ROV) equipment on rigs, barges and vessels used in the marine environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Ensures that all shift activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved and to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution.
- Will act under instructions from the ROV Supervisor.
- Expected to carry out all supervisor duties in the offshore environment.
- Is responsible for reviewing and completing project requirements.
- Must have a thorough understanding of underwater operations and equipment.
- Must have a thorough understanding of Launch & Recovery Systems.
- Capable of assessing weather conditions and operational parameters for safe ROV operations.
- Ensure ROV maintenance is performed per schedule.
- Executes safe working procedures for deployment/recovery/operation/maintenance of ROV systems
- Training / assessing Pilot Technician Grades.
- Maintain full technical and operational awareness of the ROV system.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of company IMS and associated ROV Procedures.
- Ensure Pilot/Technicians carryout all tasks in accordance with the procedures.
- Drive vehicles to and from office locations, dock and heliports.
- Perform other related activities and special projects that are required or assigned

Job Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the Malaysia, without restrictions
- Technical school degree/diploma in related discipline preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Work Class ROV Systems, including leading and training pilots/technicians
- MS Office skills, ability to quickly learn proprietary software and travel extensively are a must.
- Must have good listening skills and the ability to implement instruction and give instructions to others in English

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
