**Job Description Summary**

As a Chargeman A4 in the Facilities Department, your expertise in electrical systems and maintenance will be crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our branches. Your responsibilities will span across multiple locations, and you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and upgrading mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.

**M&E Maintenance**:

- Regularly inspect, test, and maintain M&E systems within bank branches & offices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, lighting, HVAC, and other equipment.
- Address any issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

**Electrical Repairs**:

- Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions.
- Repair or replace faulty components (e.g., switches, sockets, circuit breakers).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during repairs.

**Upgrading Initiatives**:

- Identify opportunities for system upgrades (e.g., energy-efficient lighting, automation).
- Evaluate cost-effectiveness and propose upgrades to management.
- Oversee the implementation of approved upgrades.

**Emergency Response Preparedness**:

- Ensure that backup generators (gensets) are ready for emergency use during power outages.
- Coordinate with branch managers for timely repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to electrical safety regulations and codes.
- Monitor genset emissions and noise levels during upgrades.
- Address any safety violations promptly.

**About You**
- Possess a valid Chargeman A4 certificate of competency.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical repairs and upgrading.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to manage repair projects effectively.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.
