Radiographer cum Sonographer to carry out ultrasound examination and radiological procedures in Radiology Department which is trained by the residence Radiologist.
To perform simple ultrasound examination with acknowledgement of radiologist.
To produce the optimum diagnostic quality of image and to avoid or to minimize retake x-ray to the patient.
To organize the work systematically so as to maximize the use of the room and staff as well as to reduce patient waiting time to undergo ultrasound procedure.
Explain and ensure the nature of the patient with regards to the ultrasound procedure.
To perform patient identification process to ensure correct patient is being examined.
To ensure correct procedures is being done to the right patient.
To assess patient clinically and to perform the best radiographic technic or modified technic during the general x-ray procedure
Assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate ultrasound probes and techniques.
Position patient safely for examination and if necessary, adapt standard techniques, depends on medical conditions associated with disability ,illness or trauma.
To record imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately.
To observe protocols to ensure compliance with the data protection act and patient confidentiality.
To communicate with Radiologist about the examination, findings, history and patient condition after examination to provide the best diagnosis to the patient.
To ensure the equipment is regularly checked for malfunction and any faulty are reported.
To keep maintain the cleanliness and the tidiness of the ultrasound room as well as all the accessories in the room.
To obtain patients consent for special procedures.
To assist the radiologist in complex ultrasound procedure required.
To prepare and clean up the trolley and other instruments required for Interventional Radiology procedure related to ultrasound machine before and after procedure.
To keep all the probes clean and to be arranged in a proper place with good handling procedure.
To ensure machines is stored at its place after every procedure done.
To perform on-calls after office hours, weekend and any particular time when required.
Sonographer to key in charges according to procedure being perform.
To upgrade knowledge in latest procedures, equipments and software by attending conference and seminar.
**EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS**
Posses Diploma in Medical Imaging and Medical Ultrasonography.
1-3 years relevant experience in hospital setting.
Able to perform ultrasound examination with or without supervision by radiologist after training been done.
Working knowledge of Radiation Regulation (ACT 304)
Competent to perform radiological examination for all modalities.
Ability to keep accurate reports and records.
Good team player
Hard working and committed.
Fast learner and able to work under pressure.
Well versed in Anatomy and physiology.
**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
